How to Subscribe to, Manage, and Cancel PlayStation Plus
A practical guide to subscribing to, checking, changing, and canceling PlayStation Plus, with save-data and troubleshooting notes.

PlayStation Plus is a paid subscription service. Its plans, features, and availability can vary by country or region, so review the options shown for your account before subscribing.
Before you start
Have access to the PlayStation account you want to use. A subscription applies to that account.
Be ready to follow the on-screen checkout instructions, including any payment details requested.
If you use PlayStation Plus online storage for game saves, check that important saves are available on your console or download them from storage before your subscription ends. Sony says access to online storage ends when the subscription ends; the supplied support information does not specify how long saved data remains available afterward.
For official subscription information and plan options, visit PlayStation Subscriptions & Services.

Menu names and available options can differ by console software version and region. Use the official subscription page above if you need current plan information.
Manage your subscription
To check your subscription or its next payment date online, sign in to Account Management, select Subscription, then select PlayStation Plus. On PS5, go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Subscriptions. On PS4, go to Settings > Account Management > Account Information > Subscriptions.
To change your plan online, open Subscription in Account Management, select your PlayStation Plus subscription, choose Change Plan, and select a new plan and payment frequency. Review the updated terms shown for your account.
Cancel PlayStation Plus
Canceling turns off renewal, but your benefits continue until the end of the subscription period you have already paid for.
Web: Sign in to Account Management, select Subscription, then choose Cancel Subscription next to PlayStation Plus.
PS5: Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Subscriptions > PlayStation Plus, then select Cancel Subscription.
PS4: Go to PlayStation Plus > Manage Membership > Subscription, then select Cancel Subscription.
If you change your mind, the cancellation page says you can choose Reactivate Subscription before the next payment date to keep it active. See Sony’s cancellation instructions for details.
After the paid period ends, subscription benefits are no longer available. Subscription games downloaded at no cost as monthly games are unavailable while the subscription is inactive. Redeemed packs and avatars, and purchases made at a PlayStation Plus discount, are yours to keep.
Troubleshooting
You can’t find your subscription: Confirm you are signed in to the account that purchased it. Check the subscription list on the web or console using the paths above.
You don’t see the same options: Services and menus may vary by country or region. Consult PlayStation’s subscription help for the relevant information.
