How to convert a photo to PDF on a phone

Use the phone’s built-in options when available; Adobe Acrobat’s documented image-to-PDF feature works on iPhone and Android but requires a subscription.

How to convert a photo to PDF on a phone

If you have Adobe Acrobat mobile and an active subscription, open it and use its Create PDF flow to convert an image. The documented menu path differs between Android and iPhone. The feature requires an Adobe Acrobat subscription; it is not described as a free feature.[1]

Before you start

  • Make sure the photo is saved on your phone and you can locate it in the file picker.

  • Check that Acrobat is installed and that you have the subscription needed for its image-to-PDF feature.[1]

  • If you want a free method, the sources provided here do not establish a complete, verified procedure for every phone model. Menu names and built-in options may vary, so don’t assume the Acrobat subscription steps are free or universal.

Convert a photo in Acrobat

Android

  1. Open Acrobat.

  2. Select Create > Create PDF.

  3. Browse to the folder containing the photo and select it.

  4. Tap Add. Acrobat converts the image, and the resulting PDF appears in Recent.[1]

Expected result: A PDF entry for the converted image appears in Acrobat’s Recent list.

iPhone

  1. Open Acrobat.

  2. Select Add > Create PDF.

  3. Browse to the folder containing the photo and select it.

  4. Acrobat converts the image. Look for the PDF in Recent.[1]

Expected result: The converted PDF appears in Acrobat’s Recent list.[1]

The documented Android path starts with Create, while the iPhone path starts with Add. If your app shows different labels, don’t guess at a menu path; consult Adobe’s Acrobat mobile instructions for converting images.

Open the PDF from Acrobat’s Recent list and confirm it displays the intended photo. If you need to send or upload it, select that PDF rather than the original image. The available instructions confirm the Recent list as the result location, but don’t specify export or sharing steps.[1]

Troubleshooting

The PDF option is unavailable

Adobe says this image-conversion feature requires an Acrobat subscription. Check whether your account has the required subscription before troubleshooting the photo itself.[1]

You can’t find the photo

In the Create PDF flow, browse to the folder where the image is stored. If you can’t locate it, stop and find the photo in your phone’s file or photo app first; the documented flow requires selecting an image from a folder.[1]

The menu path does not match

The Android and iPhone paths differ, and app labels can change. Use the platform-specific steps above and refer to Adobe’s linked instructions for current, model-specific help. The supplied sources do not verify a universal built-in conversion route for all Android phones or iPhones, so this guide does not assume one.
