    • The mobile phone number linked to the account.

    • Your Facebook username or full name.

  4. Click Search.

Result: Facebook shows a list of matching accounts. Choose the correct one and click Continue.

2. Choose a recovery method you can still access

  1. Facebook will present the recovery options it can send a code to:

    • Send code via email

    • Send code via SMS

    • Use a trusted contact (if you set this up previously)

  2. Select the method you can receive right now and click Continue.

  3. Retrieve the 6‑digit code from your email or SMS and enter it on the next screen.

  4. Click Continue.

Result: If the code is accepted, you are taken to a page where you can set a new password.

3. Reset your password

  1. Enter a new password that meets Facebook’s security requirements (at least 6 characters, a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols is recommended).

  2. Re‑enter the password to confirm.

  3. Click Continue.

  4. Facebook may ask you to review recent logins; you can choose to Log out of other sessions for safety.

Result: You are now logged into your profile with the new password.

4. If you no longer have access to the email or phone number

  1. On the code‑entry screen, click Didn’t get a code? then choose No longer have access?.

  2. You will be directed to a form where you can:

    • Provide a new email address or phone number you control.

    • Answer security questions if you set them up.

    • Upload a government‑issued ID for verification.

  3. Follow the on‑screen instructions and submit the form.

  4. Facebook will review the information (usually within a few days) and contact you via the new contact method.

Note: This step aligns with the guidance in Facebook’s Recover your Facebook account if you can’t log in article [[2]](https://www.facebook.com/help/105487009541643/).

    • Provide your full name as it appears on the profile.

    • Attach a clear photo of a government‑issued ID.

    • Explain why you believe the suspension was a mistake.

  4. Submit the appeal and wait for Facebook’s response (typically 1‑3 business days).

This follows Facebook’s official Recover an Account process [[1]](https://www.facebook.com/help/283100488694834/get-help/).
